Audrey Tautou
Audrey Tautou was born in Beaumont in the French city of Puy-de Domme on 8 August 1976. She was oldest among four kids. The actress was inspired by her parents, a dentist and a teacher and both of them were teachers. They encouraged her to pursue her interest in the theatre. This was in contrast her earlier ambition to be a primatologist due to the fact that she was a fan of monkeys. The rise of her as an actor in the young age was rapid and accompanied by early success. After completing her studies She was a part of the French show for spotting talent Jeunes Premiers which was backed by Canal+. She won the Best Young Actress prize at the Beziers Festival of Young Actors and started her career as an actress. Tautou was a member of the church as well as the Institut Catholique de Paris during her childhood, but she has since gotten rid of the aforementioned societal influences. The modeling and acting careers of Tautou were intertwined. Tautou was the model for L'Oreal Mont Blanc Chanel, and is known as The Chanel Muse. Apart from her acting profession she is also interested in photography. Recently, she exhibited a selection of her photographs in the Arles Film Festival under the title Superficial. Her photos are mostly about the spotlight and fame. They also feature self-portraits as well. Audrey Tautou's very first major role, as Amelie Poulain's main actor in the film Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amelie poulain, earned her fame to the world. Amelie made international waves at the box office and was awarded awards across the world. It's the most-grossing French film to be released in the United States. The popularity of the film has led to Tautou being cast in a range of roles, ranging from British dramas like Dirty Pretty Things by Stephen Knight and Jean Pierre Jeunet to Hollywood's The Da Vinci Code with Tom Hanks.
